Carrie Steinseifer-Bates is a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist in swimming, a mom of two beautiful girls, and a grateful alumnus of The Betty Ford Center. After her own personal battle with Substance Use Disorder, Carrie made the decision to use her platform and dedicate her life to helping others find the resources and help they need to obtain recovery. Carrie is committed to eliminating stigma and the barriers that stand in the way of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. She takes her own intimate personal understanding of addiction to communities and families across the nation. She uses her own experiences to show the incredible power of addiction and recovery. Carrie is a Sr. Outreach Manager and a National Recovery Ambassador for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and carries the message of addiction and the hope of recovery to individuals, families and communities.
