If there is a man out there who Dedee feels is responsible for a big turning point in her recovery it’s this amazing man, “William changed the trajectory of my life by asking me to be the keynote speaker at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s 40th Anniversary and I didn't even get sober there! Man if this is not what sobriety and community is all about I don’t know what is! I was so scared to get up there in front of all those people, but to have been asked to do something so important as that, you find the will, lean into your fear and do the next right indicated action because it is the right thing to do! I still can’t believe I did it and I have decided to be like their little “Betty-ette” LOL! I go to all their charity fundraisers too! I owe William so much and am so grateful to say he is my friend and fellow sober friend : )”
