Elissa Rosenthal is a licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, currently working as a recovery coach and writer.
At age 17 after a near deadly drug overdose, Elissa moved to Los Angeles to pursue comedy and music. Elissa studied and performed with the Groundlings, UCB, and IO West. She created Musical Comedy videos that have over 500k views on YouTube. Beyond sketch and Improv, Elissa was also a Stand-Up comedian, performing at various venues across Los Angeles and New York. Throughout her career, Elissa struggled with alcoholism and addiction. At age 26, she decided to step away from entertainment and get sober. While in recovery, she went to school and started working at an incredible trauma-informed treatment center in Los Angeles. After years of working in treatment centers she shifted to private coaching and companioning. She wrote a musical about recovery called “Breaking Silence," which won first place in a Broadway accelerator program that is currently focused in being made into a film.
